Youth Justice Division

The Youth Justice Division provides free legal services to individuals aged 12 to 17. A Justice Navigator works with youth and their families to help prevent recidivism and navigate areas such as criminal law, family and child welfare, mental health, addictions, and social justice issues.

A Justice Navigator may:

  • Explain legal processes, rights, and options.

  • Reduce stress and help youth and their families engage with the legal system effectively.

  • Help ensure interests are represented, often in collaboration with lawyers.

  • Link youth to relevant community supports, social services, mental health resources, or programs to address underlying issues.

  • Support strategies to prevent recidivism and promotes positive outcomes.
